Are you in a hurry to make a sweater? I have an idea, make an Icelandic sweater!!
Never did a sweater knit up this fast before! Apart from big needles and chunky yarn I just became obsessed with the beautiful texture of this Istex Alafoss Lopi and yoke pattern, YUM!
According to my Ravelry project page I finished the darn thing in 13 days. yes, in two weeks! I have spent more time on hats and mittens for crying out loud! Ok, this was one of the last things I knit before birthing so it's not like I was busy doing much else, but still ;)
This sweater was overdue as it was, I made it for a friend to whim I owed a favor. I hope he likes it. If he doesn't, at least this kind of Lopapeysa is a classic, and everyone needs a classic in their wardrobe, right!
I chose the colors in kind of Suomi100 themed colors, a blue and gray tone shade to celebrate our nation's 100th year of independence.
